Tom Jennings Executive Producer

Tom Jennings is a multi-award-winning documentary filmmaker and journalist. Tom has written produced and directed more than 400 hours of programming for networks including CBS, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL, INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY, and THE HISTORY CHANNEL. His shows have won multiple Telly Awards and several New York Festival awards for documentary filmmaking.

Two of Tom's feature documentaries -- OUT OF FIELD and 20,000 MILES ON A HORSE -- have appeared in multiple film festivals. And OUT OF LEFT FIELD is currently in development to become a feature film.

Tom's work runs the gamut of subject matter, from politics and religion to history, crime, sports, mystery and travel. He has produced documentary films across the planet, from major world capitals to some of the most remote places on earth - always looking for new ways to tell stories that are informative and entertaining.

In 2004 Tom started his own company - Tom Jennings Productions. TJP brings together a unique group of top-rate professionals who are the best in their fields. From research and writing, to filming, editing, art direction, music composition and graphic design, TJP is a gathering place for highly creative focused pros.

Tom has won the respect that comes from two decades of making sure to get the story right. As a print journalist, his work has appeared in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press. In 1994, Tom was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in investigative reporting for a series of articles about fraud in the California State Disability Insurance office. The series created massive change in how California does business in regards to disability insurance and wound up saving tax payers tens of millions of dollars.

Liza Douglass Producer

Liza Douglass is a producer and clearance coordinator at Tom Jennings Productions. Since 2001, Liza has produced and researched programs for Discovery, TLC, History, Science Channel, National Geographic and broadcasters WITF (PBS) and WTKR (CBS). She also has a strong background in theatrical stage management and has worked in the news departments of public radio stations WVPE, WEVO, WHYY and WTJU.

She joined TJP in May 2009 as an associate producer on the acclaimed National Geographic program "The Lost JFK Tapes: The Assassination." Before that, she spent two years on the hit science & technology series "Modern Marvels" which airs five days a week on History.

Maria Pedro Line Producer

As Line Producer Maria is responsible for all financial reporting, strategic planning and analysis, internal audit and staff functions for Tom Jennings Productions.

Prior to joining Tom Jennings Productions, Maria worked in the banking and business management industry for over 10 years, including EP Managers, Americorp Funding, All Nationwide Funding, LWA and Associates, (Creative Director) Pritikin Longevity Center and (Content) Health World.

A native of California, Maria is passionate about her family, (Partner Aaron, children Jake, Victoria, Druien) and Art.

Jason Tobias Post Production Supervisor

Jason Tobias serves as the Post Production Supervisor, managing technical operations for the company. Prior to working at Tom Jennings Productions Jason worked as an editor, a motion graphics artist, and as the production coordinator for the South by Southwest Film Festival. Additionally he has worked as a video journalist for the New York Times. Born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, he has been slowly traveling west, picking up a film education a long the way. After 8 years in Austin, TX where he graduated with a degree from the University of Texas in radio, television, and film, Jason finally made it to Los Angeles where he has been expanding as a graphic artist as well as a manager for TJP. The diversity of jobs in the position at TJP has helped Jason develop a range of abilities, allowing him to navigate through virtually any production issues and get the job done.
